Please note that this CD is produced by the Mountain Ash RFC themselves, and thus the packaging may not be of the same standard expected of other mass-produced CDs. The CDs themselves are individually copied, but appear to play fine in any type of CD player - we have not had any instances of CDs being returned as unplayable.
It was in 1979 that the Mountain Ash Rugby Club Singers first ventured into the studio and recorded "Sounds Like Home" - a selection of songs which they were performing at the time. Over the years their repertoire has developed and they felt that having performed together for more than 21 years it was time to return to the recording studio once again.
Most of their performances are still for charity and they are kept busy throughout the year. They have appeared on television with Michael Ball and have provided backing on one of his albums. The singers are very grateful to Michael for returning the favour and performing on this recording. A recent Robson and Jerome recording has also featured backing provided by the M.A.R.F.C. Singers. The continued popularity of the Rugby Club Singers and the fact that the choir has "come of age" is in no small measure due to the friendship generated amongst the members, coupled with a joy of singing and entertainment.
